Key Responsibilities…
· Provide Occupational Therapy assessments using relevant skill, knowledge and clinical reasoning
· Assess the need for specific equipment and testing (standardized and informal) and carry out these assessments
· Provide a range of services, predominantly weekly or biweekly treatment sessions as well as assessment, consultation in-clinic as well as preschool/home visits
· Use knowledge of diagnostic, therapeutic and child development principles to provide evidence based services to create functional, innovative solutions for each child
· Document information including relevant clinical data, assessments, treatment plans, progress and outcomes
· Be able to work independently as well as collaboratively with families, other therapists as well as school-based teams
· Demonstrate polite and assertive communication skills
· Have strong critical thinking skills
Qualifications…
· A baccalaureate or masters degree in Occupational Therapy (required)
· Licensure with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC) (required)
· One (1) to two (2) years of recent, related experience including pediatrics or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience (preferred)
· Physical ability to perform job duties
· Registration or eligibility for registration on the Registry of Autism Service Providers (RASP) list (supervising therapist available if needed)

· Possesses excellent interpersonal skills for email/phone/in-person interactions with external funders, schools, children and families
· Highly organized to complete scheduling and charting in a timely manner
· Possess English language proficiency
· Be able to implement feedback easily
· Self-motivated with strong organizational skills
· Provide consistent and dependable therapy to each child and family
· Able to prioritize and manage workload independently

· The majority of our clients are on the autism spectrum however we also see preschool and school-aged clients with a variety of issues (e.g. self care, fine motor, sensory, regulation, etc.)
· The therapy room and sensory gym has a wide range of sensory integrative equipment and standardized testing materials to address sensory integration, visual perceptual skills, gross motor and fine motor issues as well as a 'calming corner' for regulation

Job Type: Part-Time Contract Permanent
Experience: Paediatric occupational therapy: 1-2 years (Preferred)
Salary: $80-$104 per hour
Part-time hours: 20-28 hours per week (3-4 days per week depending on preference)
Schedule: Day shift
Supplemental pay: Signing bonus
Language: English (required)
Licence/Certification: COTBC membership (required)
Work Location: 949 Adair Avenue, Coquitlam BC; occasional home visits if desired
